Alta Cucina has successfully held its first annual Holiday Party at SICIS’ Soho ShowroomAlta Cucina Holiday Party was a festive opportunity for all the Alta Cucina’s members and Sponsors to meet, while savoring Italian delicacies of Italy's Christmas culinary tradition and enjoying a preview of the spectacular new Mosaics collections by SICIS.
Alta Cucina Society has successfully held its first annual Holiday Season Party at SICIS’ Soho Showroom. SICIS is an international art company that specializes in mosaics—mosaics of practically every medium imaginable, including marble, stone, gold, terra cotta, steel, Murano, Smalto, Iridium, Glimmer, Waterglass…spectacular pieces that simply take your breath away.
At the party, co-sponsored by The Real Deal Magazine, guests and Alta Cucina members had the opportunity, between a glass of Prosecco and a bite of Sicilian Cassata, to enjoy a preview of the new Mosaic collections.
It was a festive opportunity for all the Society’s members to meet and enjoy, while savoring Italian delicacies of Italy's Christmas culinary tradition, the holiday season. Alta Cucina presented the best of Italian products masterfully prepared by chef Andrea Tiberi of Eatitalian.
The menu included Etruscan flatbread stuffed with Prosciutto di Parma and Asiago, Spiral Skewers of Mozzarella and Speck or Mozzarella and basil, Toscano and Tricolore sliced breads, Sicilian Arancini (rice balls) and Polenta Diamonds with Porcini Mushrooms.
Each floor, the SICIS showroom is structured on four different levels, had its own special offerings: the savory buffet afore mentioned was in fact the protagonist of the first floor, while sweets were the stars of the second and of the lower levels. Here all gluttons could find delicious treats: Gianduiotti Mousse, Pandoro stars with cream and Nutella, Neapolitan Struffoli with warm honey, Panettone pudding, Babas al Limoncello, and Green Cassata with Ricotta cheese.
The Chocolate Martini bar was also a huge hit, thanks to deliciously rich cocktails made possible by Dooley’s, a fantastic cream liqueur.
“As always, Alta Cucina parties are the best,” declared a happy member, “what I really enjoy is that they offer the best authentic food of Italy. It’s incomparable! I am sure we are all looking forward to the next one.”
